EASTER ON THE ALPS

This Easter we took our 4 and 7 year old on the Alps (La Belle Plagne - France). Marvellous views, brave kids, and a lot of snow. The location was very good because we had direct access to the slopes from our accommodation. The kids took a lesson with ESP (provided in French, English, and Italian) and got green light for blu slopes. On the first day they drop from the chair lift when trying to get out from it, but then learned the system. We got up 2700 metres on the top of the mountain. The kids surprised us with their resilience, courage, and adaptability.

A day in Geneva. Everything was pretty much shut down because of the festivity. However we could visit the cathedral and the Maison Tavel (the city museum). Moreover it is fascinating to just ramble around the old city (which is up the hill, but definitely walking distance) and stop by a park. Along the lake there are many ice-cream kiosks and a panoramic train, which runs along the lake shore. We particularly liked the Baby plage, a small sand beach where children can play climbing on the ropes hanging from the trees. We were surprised that not so many people spoke english. They would rather speak Italian.

The Baby Plage - the trees are the actual playground.
